Ola Balinska
Co-Owner
I've worn many hats over the years - starting out as a chef, then picking up a diploma in graphic design and eventually falling head over heels for tiling.
There’s something about home transformations that’s always fascinated me. Burned out from the fast pace of the culinary industry, I found myself stepping into a whole new world as a painter’s assistant. After three years of painting and developing a growing admiration for tiling, I was given the incredible opportunity to learn it myself. What began as a simple curiosity quickly turned into a passion and now I'm lucky enough to call it my craft and career.
Always curious and up for a challenge, I'm often picking up new hobbies or skills, my latest endeavours being ballet, gardening and figuring out the art of entrepreneurship.
Ivan Bacanek
Co-Owner
Born in Calgary and raised in Mississauga, I've spent most of my career in the trades, with a brief detour into the arts. Growing up, I worked in construction with my father before pursuing my passion for art, eventually refining my skills at Humber.
After finishing school, I realized I missed working with my hands and building things. That’s when I found tiling - a perfect blend of construction and creativity. With my background in construction and art, I’ve spent the past 8 years creating custom tile work.
Now, after countless projects, I’ve teamed up with a like minded partner who shares my artistic vision to launch our own tiling business, and we plan on taking the tiling world by storm.
